Staten Island Solar Car

The scope of the project is more than you may think. Staten Island Solar Car is like a small company. There are opportunities for experience and learning in not just engineering design and manufacturing but also in logistics, management, business relations, big data, and much more. 

 

The Staten Island Solar Car is a rare engineering student project team, in that it allows you, a high school student, to actually hop into the cockpit of the project and drive! As the only high school level project team of its kind in the City of New York, we represent not only Staten Island but the entirety of New York City when we compete in the national solar car competition, the Solar Car Challenge, at the Texas Motor Speedway.
