NYABJ upholds a legacy of providing professional and moral support to its members. Our organization encourages and supports the achievement of Black media professionals and those who endeavor to accurately document stories of the African Diaspora. Our membership includes reporters, editors, writers, digital media producers, TV producers, photographers, videographers, graphics editors, art directors, public relations professionals, students and academics.

Last year student interns visited the NY Times, CBS News and went out into Time Square to do field reporting.  Each student also received up to a $500 scholarship and transportation back and forth from to the program.

One of our students from last semester received an after-school job working for a magazine, from one of our mentors who he met and has also published a few articles!

The program will still be held at the CUNY Journalism Grad school in Times Square, Saturdays Feb 3- March 9th from 9am-12pm.  Please share with students that you believe may be interested in this opportunity.  Please find the link to apply here.
