Career Essentials is a career-readiness program that enables students to develop and practice their skills in communication, public speaking, resume writing, time management, and other workplace expectations. Through a series of 10 workshops (traditionally held after-school), students gain valuable professional skills, explore potential career pathways, and network with other NYC high school students. Since 1995, Career Essentials has served over 15 thousand students. For many, it has been their first step establishing a long-lasting relationship with Futures and Options. Students who participate in Career Essentials, will be better prepared to join our prestigious Internship Program and will become part of our alumni network, granting them access to unique opportunities and scholarships. This program is open to all high school students who live and attend school in New York City.
