INSPIRE High School Summer Internship Program

The INSPIRE High School Summer Internship program was created to give students a hands-on experience learning from geoscientists in the field. Over the course of two weeks, students will get the chance to perform field work & data collection, speak with and receive lectures from geoscientists across all disciplines, and visit Columbia University’s Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory. For each day of the internship, students are expected to attend lectures and participate in an ongoing literature review of their chosen geoscience field. Following the two week summer program, our INSPIRE team of scientists is dedicated to giving participating students long-term mentorship and support throughout their scientific and academic careers.
