Dr. Jared Jax (Physics Teacher & CTE Coordinator)

Dr. Jax is a veteran physics teacher who currently focuses on Regents Physics.  He has a love for the content and enjoys giving students an opportunity to see and use hands-on demonstrations and lab experiences.  Many of the demonstration videos can be found on his Staten Island Tech YouTube channel.  He also hosts a Regents Physics Website for students to access review materials and additional resources.

 

Additionally, Dr. Jax serves as the school's Career and Technical Education (CTE) Coordinator. He is a pivotal member of the technology department and his many roles include: maintaining the school's status as a CTE accredited program in NYS, maintaining the school's Makerspace, allocating funding which is generated by our CTE program, as well as other essential functions related to maintaining and growing our engineering and computer science programs.
