Special Opportunities

High school students will be able to attain community service credits from stwedarship projects offered during the program. Students will also learn identification of flora and fauna in NYC Parks. Each week the meet-up location will be a different Staten Island Park due to the scheduled project.

Calling all female and non-binary students interested in tech! GEECS (Girls In Electrical Engineering and Computer Science) from the College of Engineering at the University of Michigan. GEECS is hosting GirlsTalkTech, a biweekly program for middle and high school students interested in exploring computer science!

Carnegie Mellon is committed to providing access opportunities to populations of students who have been historically underrepresented in the STEM and Computer Science fields. They materialize this support through our Summer Academy for Math and Science, AI4All @ Carnegie Mellon, and our new Computer Science Scholars program offerings.

The organization, Rise for Rohingya, is interested in extending a scholarship and mentorship opportunity to students.

Each year they partner with NYU and its President Emeritus, John Sexton, to organize an essay contest open to all NYC high school students. The goal is to bring awareness of the Rohingya Refugee Crisis to our future young leaders and have them think critically about global issues.
