Antisemitism and the Interconnectedness of Oppression Virtual Presentation Oct. 14, 2020
October 14th, 6-7:15pm
A workshop with Jesse Tannetta, Echoes and Reflections/ADL and Lori Weintrob, Wagner College Holocaust Center.
How can we define and identify Antisemitism, from its origins to Nazi Germany, and then to Staten Island and America today? Using the Anti-Defamation League's ground-breaking HEAT map, and cases in our community, we will explore if and why antisemitism is on the rise. Finally, we will look at ways that discrimination against Jews and other groups.
(Muslims, African-Americans, LGBTQ, Asians, immigrants) intersects
and how to stand up against hate.
Teachers will receive ONE CTLE credit.
