Special Opportunities

February is a Career Exploration Month, a citywide effort to raise awareness about the importance of supporting students to identify career interests and gain an understanding of the postsecondary pathways that will take them there.

A completely student-run nonprofit organization on a mission to shatter barriers in the STEM fields for underrepresented students through immersive opportunities.

The American Mathematics Competition will be held virtually this year on Thursday, Feb 4th from 2:30pm - 4:15pm. We will be administering and proctoring the AMC 10 and the AMC 12. If you have interest in sitting for the competition, please email Mrs. Asher at Lisa.asher @ sitechhs.com. There are only a few spots left, so it will be on a first come, first serve basis.

The Advance/SILive.com will again host a unique event in February for any Staten Island woman who wants business advice, or educational advice, or volunteering advice – let’s just say any advice whatsoever.

Note: There is a fee for this event. This is an optional event. It does take place during school hours, but you may NOT miss class for this. Only attend if you have a free period. Please discuss all opportunities with a parent/guardian, especially since there is a fee.
